The gigantic and imposing "Bank Special" $50,000 of 1924 was a clearing agent between Canadian banks. It was not a generally circulating banknote. We have offered Proofs of this denomination only twice previously. This uniface Proof is for the reverse design of the note. Intricate lattice work is easily seen and appreciated. Tears are mentioned for accuracy, however these notes are rare in all formats.
